I lived on Cape Cod, and in New Hampshire and Maine, for 45 years before moving here in '92.

I miss crisp clean air (Florida has a sort of permanent musty smell) and real seasons (we have around 2-1/2 seasons here), however I do not miss scraping and shoveling one damned bit--no sir. It does get as hot as Hades for a couple months in the summer, but if that's the only price I've got to pay I can live with it.

---------------------------
Oh, did I mention there are no vehicle inspections here--safety, emissions, or otherwise!

I agree completely. Had it out in the snow today. I had to get to town in a hurry. The little traction control light helped a lot in knowing where that ragged edge was. With the proper tires, I'm not sure why the Mustang gets such a bad rep on snow. It handled every bit as good as my old '69 Camaro.

P.S. I once had the opportunity to drive over Donner at the exact time they closed the pass. I had to open the drivers door in order to see the white line on the road. For those that don't know, Donner has 500 to 1,000 foot drop offs if you slide off the road.

The last post made me think. I'm not sure that was worse then having my wife drive from Rifle to Palisades in Colorado. It was before the Interstate was complete. Same type of drop offs, except when the big trucks went past you couldn't see the road... at all.

AND I WASN'T IN CONTROL She white knuckled it all the way, but she did really good. I was kinda proud of her.

If you wanna hear something absolutly hilarious take ur car out to a wet parking lot and do a doughnut with the TC on... it sounds so stupid, kinda like a freakin bi-plane.

Note... i actually went there to let my buddy do a doughnut, but he didnt kno to turn it off. And i was like WTF!!!!! i though he broke something but it was just the TC... it's def a funny sound from the outside.

I think I'm one of the few people who wish they had traction control. I live in Colorado, and the winter is the worst time for me. I had to sell my Cherokee to get my stang, it was a bad time to buy it lol.

Sometimes its scary to drive it anywhere when it snows. That's why i got friends with trucks
