electronic key?

When i bought my mustang this summer. i recieved one key and one key fob.
now i am preparing to install a remote starter/security system in the car.
I was told that i need two keys to make it work right. But i was also readin online that i must program 2 NEW keys. i cannot use the exsisting one i have and just by one more. i am confused.? i also learned there is a bypass to disable the computer key and it will recongnize a standerd cut key.
can some one please help???

also the remote starter is going on a manual trans. has anyone had experince with this.
the model is a shelby 750r. its made for a 5 speed but if i can install it myself id like to save the money.
thanks for all your help

You must get the keys from the dealer about 70. each. programing and the fobs I don't know. Call your local dealer parts dept and ask. be seated when they give the price. cost my daughter 215. for a new key and fob for her jeep....

the model i have comes with neutral safety switch hook up.
i had the same model in my talon. while the car is on you pull up the ebrake then push the remote start button. then take the key out of the ignition but the car will still run. shut the door and push the lock button. then the remote start is armed for when you come back. if you do not follow those specific steps it will not start. it works quite well.
but i dont understand why i need two keys to make this work?? and why cant i just take the one i have and get it copied?
