Intake Manifold

I was trying to find an Intake manifold I saw someone posted the other day. It is $1400 and made by I don't remember what company. but it looked really tall and was supposed to be a totally race style piece. Anyone know anything about this. I want to see more about it.

Check out this post.

Modular Misfits :: View topic - LMS 2V intake dyno graphs

Says they made 340 RWHP with what sounds like a not very extreme N/A set up. Build a stroker with some SVO heads or 3V conversion. Could be a 370 400 rwhp set up N/A.

What are you doing heads wise. You would need a damn good port job to make a set of PI heads flow that good, or would need a whole new head to really tap into it. That and a custom grind cam.

The car that they tested is about 320 hp but what they described I don't know if it is a stage 1 set up or what. It is stage one ported heads and a Comp 270 cam. Which doesn't mean much because that only tells us the duration, and not the Lift. Anyone know how extreme a set up that is?

You don't need a ton of flow. You need a balance of flow and velocity or the motor will be a dog. The Logan utilizes short runners to achieve the upper end RPM HP you are seeing displayed on the graph(s). For a NA motor, you wil also need alot of compression. I decided to go with 11.6:1. You are right about the cam though. I researched, even went back through some of my old SBC engine building notes and even got Comp's opinion on what I should go with. In the end, I wound up going pretty high on the duration and moderate on the lift with a pretty tight lobe seperation.

The 270 cam is about 234 duration if I remember correctly and .550" lift both sides with 113 degrees of lobe seperation. The motor that graph shows was running 10:1 compression. This info. is straight from Dewayne Logan.

Correct me if I'm wrong but that is a pretty tame cam aside from the lift. Something I would expect to not be such a high rpm cam. In which case, that is really impressive power for that set up. Id expect to see 300 with a set up like that, not 320.

Is the new mustang Fly by wire? or is it cable. If so, could we just use the one from the new Mustang?
