Injectors Max Out
So I have heard that 19lb injectors are tapped out at like 275 hp or something like that. Has anyone heard of this? I know that blown cars are running 36 and 42 lb. But if I am trying to get to 400 engine or 350 whp. Would I need to step up the injectos, what about the pump. My car is a 97 so I would think it would be a good idea to do anyway, but I just figured I would get some input. Id like to avoid swapping injectors if I could.

yes 19s are way too small for 350whp, even NA. If boosting you should go with 36s as a minimum for that power. You will probably need a pump as well. Fuel is one thing you dont want to mess with because running lean = boom and $$$$. Widebands are cheap motor insurance.

I wouldnt advise trying to use the 19#'s for your goal. Are you going boosted? If so go straight to 42#'s even if you plan on low boost. This way it will still leave you room to grow if you want to up the boost.
![]() If your gonna sta NA then 30 or 36#'s would do ya. It all depends on your plan. Either way get a 255 pump and be done.

Here is an interesting read for you:
Robert's Nitrous Service | Dry Nitrous Tuning/Set-up, and some general spray info for all This is to determine if your injectors can handle a dry shot, but some of the basics will still apply for what you need. The math equations here are very helpfull.

I was pushing over 300 RWHP N/A with stock fuel pump and injectors. After I changed to 30# and upgraded fuel pump, the pull was a lot smoother but I didn't pick up any power. It was just a little smoother mid range.
