Would it be worth it?

Right now i have a 97 GT with minimul mods. These mods include 4.10 gears, and built rear end bla bla bla. It made 205 RWHP with 271 ft/lbs torque. Its a 5 speed now. I sorta want to convert to an auto and put a high stall converter on it. would it be worth it at this point or should i just wait till i get more power?

personal preference. fun and freeing up a little power, stay with the manual. if you just want the auto or for constentcy purposes, go with the auto. if it is planned no matter what, i personally would wait.

stick with the manual, its more fun. but if you are looking to dial in i suppose the auto would be more practicall.

save the money for more hp till you blow up your current trans. The gains will be minimal.

That's what happens when you have more power then the tranny is rated and, and go to the track more often then you change your own underwear

i was short shifting in and out of 3rd because of a bad 3/4 fork. it can get 11's with now if i just get back to the track. i went 13.2 with 3.55's and less mods, and pretty much no tune. N/A this car is plenty capable of 12.8-9. a liitle over 1000ft. elevation doesnt help either.
