Maybe, but forging to get more horsepower requires a lot more money and not just in the motor. Going above 425 rwhp really starts putting a strain of clutches, transmissions and rear ends. The stock drive train is supposed to hold up to 425 rwhp as long as only street tires are used (girdles are suppose to help). If your original plans are to go higher it may have been more cost effective just to buy the 03/04 Cobra.

But if you already have a supercharged GT, forged rods and pistons would be more cost effective approach. I'm thinking maybe in two years when the Procharger warranty is up.

Well I guss im going to have to save a little bit and start looking for a decent '03 cobra. Thats what I really want and I want a one owner car that has never seen a snowflake. I think im going be spending some where around $20,000 in the end.

I like the mach better than the NA cobras and if you look hard enough you might be able to find one at a good price.A local dealership just had a black 03 w 19k miles 100% stock for 18 grand.
