You need a tune bro...

Before you have to put a new engine in there...

Whats it doing in 4th?

You can get a chip and have the tune burned on there and use your GT PCM...

For lack of a better choice of words it "crapped out on me" I was doing a pull on the highway and twice in 4th the motor sputtered at like 4000 RPM or so and it felt like I let off but I didn't. It was wierd so I am thinking about getting the SCT Pro Racer Package and a wideband and tuning it but I want to see if there are any mechanical problems. I checked that none of the wires are melted cause I dont want an electrical fire. And a while ago it was like doing the same thing in the exact same place in the RPM range in 4th but it was never so bad that the engine gave up. If you have any info please help. I need to get back out there and go fast!

Yea I am going to take it easy for a while. I have a cobra pump and 24 lb. injectors. If anything I think I may be a little rich but idk. I want to get a wideband before anything. Any suggestions? I was looking at autometer.

+1...i'll put down $50 on the table.. Its's not about the pump and the injectors...The computr's not telling it to inject enough fuel because it's on the GT's tune. The GT's tune is designed for heads and an intake that flow significantly less, therefore, it would require less fuel...The computer doesn't automatically know that the engine's pullin more air. The MAF sensor can compensate some, but only so much. I wouldn't rely on that.

Ok, I am also throwing codes for no air intake temp sensor. Is this a problem cause I could se ehow that would affect the spark. I am going to get the SCT Pro Racer Package as soon as I can but I am working 2 jobs and still am not getting money fast enough! lol

Yes you need to get an IAT in there...

IAT - Intake Air Temp

It tells the PCM when to pull timing and such because of the temp of the intake charge...

I'll bet $100 its running leaner than S**t, think about it, you went fron 2v to 4v, you need more fuel for the added valves and since your comp. is still running like a 2v. its starving the motor at high rpms. Just my opinion

Take the two gray wires that were on the MAF and wire them to a Lightning IAT sensor and drill a hole in the intake for it to go in then put it in there and get an effin tune for gods sake
