Ford dealers put the 70K price on the cars, so that's what it should be compared to.

Termi' for me. Both are strong performers so for me it comes down to styling. The new Mustangs look nice, but around here they are everywhere and anymore I get a little more excited when I see a nice SN95 than a S197. Now I know that the GT500 is quite a bit different in styling compared to a base GT, but nothing is sexier to me than a lowered torch red, black, sonic blue, or silver Termi' with some 15% tint and some fat tires sitting on the back...just my opinion of course.

I guess different dynos do tell a different story, but this was the exact same dyno I had my car on and my numbers (on the road) seem to be spot on for what I have gone up against.

97.. are you really going to use that site as a reference?
mind you it's the same people that thought the v6 and GT were the same mustang.

top gear is a load of shit. I literally hate top gear. People buy gt 500 for the name as well, not only for under 2000 you have a 700+ rwhp car but it also looks mint and says shelby on it.. got value?

I know, I was giving a big buffer zone Going with bolt on's like ported throttle body, elbow and SC, idlers, CAI, full exhaust, tuner, tune, upper pulley, lower pulley and all paid to be installed. Although if you have to have some of those installed you need not have a Termie, lol. All still for abour 4 grand which just goes more to show how awesome the car really is. But with all those mods you should easily be above 500rwhp-Shane

dude, the GT500 is only a touch more than the challenger will be. by time your spending $40K on a car, another $3K is chump change.

+1 It also kinda got to me when they were saying 447 rwhp was basically the same as 447 'brake' (silly british) HP. 447 rwhp is 526 crank HP and they were saying that the GT500 wasn't making 500 HP...

yes they are dumb. but that vid was just to show a televised dyno on it... I figured since they are dumb n hate ford that they would even underrate the GT500 as they did because they didnt note that it looses power going to the wheels...
