IAT sensor problem

I've been having problems with my car and deciding to run it without my IAT sensor connected to my CAI, and it ran a lot better, better throttle response and more horsepower and torque, but it wont idle correctly. So with the IAT sensor not connected it runs like it should but wont idle and with it on it has barely any power and no power after 3,000 rpm. So what would be the best thing to do to fix this problem?

Your IAT sensor shouldnt limit your power like your saying. It makes me think that there is a problem with the sensor. Your IAT sensor tells your computer what temp the air is coming in and adjusts air/fuel mixtures acordingly. Also if you have disconnected it and not covered up the hole it goes in that could be a problem because you are letting unmetered air in after you MAF sensor.

Please list your mods. The IAT sensor is important for keeping the motor safe by backing out the timing when the temps heat up.
