Which do I go for...my 65 coupe resto PROJECT is up for sale, and likely to make me about $12k (about £6k over here) The plan is to put that money, plus a little more towards a new 'Stang. Here's the dilemma... do I go for an '05+ standard, or a Cobra or Saleen '02 or '03? I really don't know what to do, not having driven either...

If you can't find either a 2003 or 2004 Cobra go for the 05+ GT.

Right back where I started then... ![]() Actually, the 03-04 model is far rarer here in the United Kingdom - there are literally loads of s197s for sale over here (although most are the V6 engined ones) so i'll probably go for the 03-04...If I can persuade the wife, as she's not too keen on the shape!

Thats a tough decision. You have to decide what you really want to do with the car. I like the body of the S197 better, but of course an 03/04 has a better motor. You can completely build the motor in the S197, but you can completely change the body of the Cobra
