Roush vs. Saleen shootout2008 Roush 427R is put up against the 2008 Saleen S281 definitely not the result I was expecting... How the heck does the heavier car with less power win? Someone must be overquoting their stats.Shoot Out - ROUSH vs. SALEEN « Videos « WebRidesTV |

Saleen lost. That should teach them not to put 20 inch rims on a Mustang.

Great video... thanks for posting. Wish they'd have done a 1/4 mile run with them. 0 to 100 in the 10 seconds range should translate pretty good.

The Roush could also be underrated. It would have been cool to put them on a dyno to see what kind of power they were both making.

Ive been reading around, is it true that the Roush has independent rear suspension swapped in? That might account for the increase in weight.

I would take the Roush any day. Never have been a fan of the way the Saleens looks. The ass end of those things are absolutely hideous.

I purchased a Roush 428R 127 of 200 in Nov, this car is awsome. I have 1050 miles on it and have been moding some, don't want to void warrenty yet. Yes, the Roush cars are way under rated and the vid proves that.

JeffIsHereToo,
At least this time the Saleen was still $9000.00+- but was able to beat the Roush. I would hope you get something for all that extra money, me I would still buy the Roush and take that 9K add the Roush blower, and the Trak Pak coil over shocks with money still left in my pocket, then redo this test, the out come would be even more dramatic than the test between the 427R and the SC S281. I would cam that roush with a nice agressive street cam and put a more flowing exhaust on it.. Then dyno it and never touch it again (mods wise)..
