Question?

I bought a 98 GT about 2 months ago and love it. Since buying it I've put some wheels on it, x-pipe with flows, and a k&n air filter on it. Me and my wife love it but the take off power kinda let me down. This guy I work with said to put some 3:73's under it but then another guy said to put 4:11's. Can anyone tell me which is best. Also I thought about putting some 1 inch wheel spacers on it, can anyone help me with that? Is that a good idea? My wife wants to lower it a little I was just wondering how much? Thanks for anything.[/list]

Is this a 5-Speed car?

What are your future plans for the car?

If you are not going to add a poweradder then 4.10's are what you want...

If you plan on doing a power adder then go with 3.73's...

If it is an auto I say 4.10's all the way...

I personally don't like wheel spacers. But that's just me, I think they cause more trouble then they are worth.

For the drop it depends on if you buy new wheels or are going to be a serious drag car or what.

WELCOME TO MM!!!

if you plan on going forced induction later on go with the 3.73 but if your gonna stay n/a put some 4.10 in it. do not use wheel spacers as they are unsafe

The wheel spacers can make your axles very unhappy...

The car is an automatic. The car will be an everyday car, but will the 4:11s really hurt my gas mileage?

4.10's really wont make the much difference in the MPG...Like 2-3 mpg less then what you get with your stockers...

Thanks for the help. I still don't know what to do about the spacers, I bought the wheels and I'm not satisified with how they look on the back. It just looks like it has that sunk in look.
