4.6 For A Crown Vic
i got offered a deal on a 95/96 cv motor been rebuilt would this fit in my 98 i have a set of pi heads and a set off comp cams for a winter project but would i be able to swap the new heads on to this vic motor?

is this and odd questions im not finding a whole lot out there about the crown vic engines maybe thats why its so cheap

thats what i thought but im not finding anything out on it. what about the intake could i use it it is a aluminum intake

The blocks are the same but the heads are not. make sure the aluminum intake is not a pre Power Inproved(PI) intake. Witch means any factory aluminum intake pre 98 is not a PI intake. so i do not think it will work.

It should work...When I hydrolocked my motor they offered me a motor out of crown vic for my car...I would swap your heads and intake for it though...Or if it was me I would pick up a bullitt or SVO intake rather then using the stock plastic deal...

yes i have a set of 02 heads and comp cams to go on it this winter so that will be good. ill proboly put a plstic intake on it while i drive it through the next summer then im putting on a sc. i was going to do the sc first but decided 150000 is alot on my motor and i can smell a hint of anti every once in a while. thanks

Thats the ultimate plan the wife isnot too happy about it but every time it gets some more power her eyes get bigger when she drives it

Have fun...
That way you wont be in a pinch like I was...An 8K pinch...Buying a new motor sucks...lol Build the motor and then you will be all kinds of ready for some nice numbers...Plus you can prolly sell the heads that come on the crown vic engine as well... |
