Bore Size


is the 4.6 a 289 or a 281, whtever it is what is it bored .30 over.
i no the 302 are a 306 bored .30 over

a bore of .030 isnt going to give you anything hp wise. youd be better ff going with a big bore kit or stroking it. boring a 4.6 to .030 is only to clean up the cylinder walls

4.6 is a 281. Ever seen the Saleen S281? thats where that comes from.

o nah but seen one of those, and i got a 5.0 and was jus wondering, i plan on a 351 for tht

.030" over would make it a 284

Agreed^ Boring will gain little to no power.

Is it possible to turn your 4.6 into a 5.0 litre? For the pirice would it be worth it? Wihtout doing a engine swap? Whats the most you can get out of your stock 4.6 engine? its a SOHC 2002.

nevermind that last post for cali 5.0 this site will give you an idea

has anyone heard of modmax? im looking at the 4.6 to a 5.0 wiht low compression so i can throw on a blower. would this set up be reliable?

yeah no prob. im running a dss stroker that is a 5.0 and its also low compression for my blower!!!
