New Edge Vs. SN-95
I do not, by any means, mean to start a flame war.
I'm getting a car next year, first car of course, and i'm deciding between many, many cars. What would be better? 99-04 GT 4.6 or SN-95 GT 5.0 If i got a New edge, i'd probably go w/ black bullit/torque thrust rims and a mach 1 style chin spoiler and some flowmasters and such. If i got an SN-95 i'd go w/ flowmasters. What would you choose (as a first car) and why? And i know some people would prefer to say that they'd get a good on gas car, but....... no. thanks!

I would say the new edge. Probably easier to maintain , seeing is how it would be at least a 4 year newr car. The 4.6 is a good engine to mod too.

New edge- Much faster and much easier to maintain. Plus the look better IMO.

Put me in for a New Edge. And if you can find one at a good deal, the Bullitts and Mach 1s may be a good value and already come with great brakes, stiffer chassis and great seats. Then let the mods begin!

thats what i thought.
If i wanted a 302 i'd buy a crate engine from ford racing. I have alot of cars on my mind though, cant choose which one. heres a list in no order ![]()
![]() If i did get a new edge, and got a job, i'd get the flowmasters and a CAI, later some suspension and handling things.

![]() I looked at both (but both having been modulars) and chose the SN95 because I liked the curves of the body as opposed to the more angular New Edge. Not to say that there's anything wrong with the look of New Edge cars; it was just my preference. I'm still happy with my choice 7 years later. Post some pics of your ride once you get it. Good luck with your new toy. |

if you would like an ugly pos, go with the sn-95. for reliability, power, looks, and just all around greatness. go with the new edge

Hmm.. I'm considering a Land rover Discovery series II now, i mean, there are about 1 million New edge stangs in the world for me to get later in life, right?

yes there is, but getting a land rover isn't going to satisfy that little piece of you that wants to go fast and get looks everywhere you go. no matter how common, everyone stares at a mustang
