Slight Miss When In High Gear / Low Rpm

In regards to a 2001 6 speed 4.6 gt. When im around town, and im in a high gear, low rpm, and i give it gas, pretty bogged down, it misses sometimes, just once or twice before rpms climb. What do you think causes this? Should I start with plugs and wires?

probably a coil assembly or a spark plug.

Your car should not have wires...

Check the plugs...

Most of the time missing on acceleration is caused by something in the ignition system, as twist suggested. Though, yea your '01 GT has coil on plug so it's either a coil pack or plug. I'd look at the plugs first.

Sorry, I was meaning the bottom part of the cop. I might as well go with new plugs and some aftermarket cops. What do you guys use?

if your gonna change the cop, go with granatellis setup. they run for less than $500 and they will make a huge difference, and an even more dfference on a blown or nitroused car. they are 10x better then stock but cost considerably less than the stock ones

Well I bought new plugs, and the boots for the cops, put them in, got it all done in about 30 min... Im used to changing plugs in the 5.4L trucks, so this was so easy! almost all the boots were cracked about an inch on the bottom... Now, I dont even know how to describe the power! I can burn them all the way through first gear now, and thats not dumping the clutch! Thanks guys for the help! I raced a cobra with a kenne bell this weekend, even through first, hit second and he flew by me like a jet!... I know what is going on this stang next!!!
