Help! RPM's Out Of Control

I have an '89 GT. The last couple of months my rpms have been erratic. Replaced throttle sensor and idle air control. Now when driving or sitting it still rev's to 2500rpm and can't get it to stop. I punch it,turn the car off nothing works. Any other suggestions?

Have you tried resetting the ECU (aka unhooking the battery for a few mintutes) to see if that helped? Are you getting a check engine light, if so what code(s)?

if you have a aftermarket air filter some of the oil may have flown into the mass air flow sensor ----- by a bigger one and upgrade your injectors

I replaced alot of the inexpensive electical. Seemed to help. I do have stock intake and we tightened the bolts and seemed to help alot, trying to find the lower for edelbrock performer. Did trade with someone for the upper and probably won't see money or intake. I do have upgraded injectors though.
