Is This Worth It? (Trade Engine)

basically i am planning on building my motor anyways...this guy i know needs to rebuild his 4.6 and instead of doing that he offered to buy my motor thats in my car since i plan on rebuilding it for a supercharger.so he wants my longblock and hes going to give me his longblock and 3000$.seems perfect cause its not gonna cost me much more to build my block and get new heads and cams. what do you all think??? he wants my motor cause its only got 16k on it.

yea its stock with some miles on it.but doesnt really matter cause its gonna get torn down and rebuilt with a stroker kit.thats what i was gonna do with my motor anyways.might as well make some money to use towards buidling this. the only thing i am gonna use his long block for is the block.i will be getting all new internals and heads and cams.

That will cost more then 3K...

You looking at shelling out of your pocket around 2K I would say...

But if you can afford your car being down like that then go for it...

Damn that guy's crazy to give you $3k for your stock engine when you can get a new (or near new) one for less than that.
