Torqued?

So I am looking for the a high quality reliable torque wrench. Anybody have suggestions? I am hearing good things about Snap-On... I am preparing for a cam install and don't have one yet.

Let me know your thoughts.

The craftsman torque wrenches are NOT worth what you pay for them. You'll get the same quality from the Harbor Frieght click-style torque wrench. Also, the craftsman lifetime warranty does NOT apply to their torque wrenches, so there's no advantage there. If you want a decent one, pay the price for the Snap-On, if you want an ok one, get the Harbor Freight one.

From a guy that uses them ALOT, buy a nice one from Snap-On or Matco. You don't need to pop for the super expensive digital readout ones, but the manually adjustable ones will do just fine. And make sure to try the torque setting on a bolt and nut in a vice first to see how the "click" feels when you have reached the proper torque. I snapped the front mouting bolt hole off of an Edelbrock Performer aluminum intake on the first try with on, and had to have the intake welded back up, so knowing when to stop is really important.
