347 & Turbo?

What do you guys think of a turbo on a 347....good idea or bad? I am rebuilding my old stock 302 and was going to put a 347 stroker kit on it and board it 40 over. Not really sure if i was going to do a turbo or not. I really dont know to much about them. I want my car to be healthy power. Was just wondering if it would be a bit much for a street car and an everyday driver...

thanks

a 347 is going to be nice on the street with or without a turbo man.

people turbo motors all the time.. as long as you don't boost 25 psi and have a good tune it will be plenty streetable.

+1..unless you're running low boost, you'll likely split the 2-bolt block clear in half down the main..

Even with a main girdle, you'd still be riskin the life of the stoker kit by splitting the block.
