Gay Hood

So the hood scoop looks badass yes. Buttt the fact that it is none functional really pisses me off. And today i was lookin at my buddys Trans am and i saw how the cold air intake is hooked into the ram air.. Are there any stang hoods that have cold air intake that hook up to the scoop? Or are there even any stang scoop hoods that are functional??

I dont knwo that it adds anything...It might add a few poneys but I dont know to tell you for certain...

I know Stormin Noramn hoods are made to be used like that...But I think they only make fox body hoods and set-ups...

its gotta add soemthin... it says its cold air intake and sence its a more direct shot to the engine then in the wheel well and has a larger intake i would assume it would add a decent amount.. im not sure though

dude, a cia does not make a lot of power unless youve got huge heads, cams and headers and need to get the colder air. people say they "feel" the difference when they put a cia on but its all in their mind. it might do 3-4 hp and your not gonna really notice 3-4 hp

Then whats the point in haveing a mach 1 over a gt? im not sure of a difference in the two besides the shaker hood and then some other little foo foo things i.e. body kit floor matts etc? is a mach 1 pushin mroe horses or is the difference mainly in apperence?
p.s. drgnracin72 i saw your burnout clip nice run.

are ya kiddin me with the mach 1 deal. its a completely different motor, thats why its makinf a lot more power. the mach has the 4v heads and the gt has 2v heads, huge difference in air flow. thats why it makes a shit ton more power thn the gt. and thanx for the props on the burnout

gottcha i was wondering i know jack shit about mach 1's thanks for the info though ill hold off on that hood then thought they would add alot more then reg cai because its direct to the engine. guess i was wrong though ill go with 4v heads after gears? or would yall sugject another kidna heads?(i have no idea whats available head wise.) ive decided id like to reach around 350rwhp or so without turboing or supering.. is this possible to do and keep my stang a daily driver?

not without nitrous. its possible to ge tthe 2v to that n/a but your not gonna wanna drive it every day. its gonna take huge heads and radical cams. your best bet is to just slap a s/c on there. its cheaper to!!! you probably dont wanna swap in 4v heads either cuz its a PITA and youd have to have a couple holes drilled on your block for timing stuff. the 4v swap is usaully best don with the whole cobra or mach motor. makes it a ton easier. your best bet for making that kind of power is either a super charger or nitrous

welll i guess ill start saven for s/c or t/c then i dont wana go nitris i hear alot of 4.6's with nitris dont take well and if u have one bad part in ur engine the nitris will work on it. soo what should i go for after gears?? just start saven for some sort of charge? or would it be worth while to go after somthin else first?

i say od you gears, then an exhaust and then do your blower. ntrous isnt going to hurt your motos un;less you dont tune for it. you have to tune for it for it to be safe. as long as you keep the n2o levels to a sane level you could run it on your motor for a long time. i say do your gears, full ehxhuast and then do a supercahrger. dont spend the money for a turbi cz youll never be able tot ake advantage of it!!!

Those chips are bogus...

Get some gears and then go for a blower...Get a good tune and you will be happy...

Full exhaust to me is headers as well...
