some? of the 99's and 04's have different fender badges (35th and 40th) anniversary and the 01's-04's have smoked headlights and a different spoiler and the mid-01 and up have a different transmission

i'm pretty sure that in 01 they changed the ignition system too. i got a good deal on my 01 gt, $10,000 with 56,000 miles. definately try to talk down that one for 13K, i bet you could talk them down to 12 if you're lucky.

I live in Vegas and had to drive to Los Angeles to find a gt that was a 99 or newer that wasn't 13k or more. I paid 10k out the door with tax and lic for a stock 03 gt 5 speed with 75k miles. There were a lot of already modded ones that were a little cheaper in socal, but I wanted one stock so I could mod it the way I wanted.

Min liabillity insurance runs me about 600 a year and full coverage with 500 deductables runs me about 2000 a year or 165 a month through state farm.

I usually try to buy around kelly blue trade in value ... if you can get close to that .. you're getting a GOOD deal ... When looking at KBB pricing ... private party is the most you should ever pay .. even from a dealer ...

Example : Last august i got my 04 gt vert with 19K miles on it .. for $17k ... KB trade in was $17.5K

The key is to be patient and wait for your deal .. it will come !!!

FYI:
I'm 22 I have full coverage w/ on my 04 gt vert, 92 protege ( cause it only has 52K original miles on it ) renters insurance, and life insurance from State Farm for only $116 a month ...

As far as insurance goes, I'm 23 and single. I have full coverage with 50/100 property, and 500 deductibles. I pay 530 every 6 months.
