Pulse plug?

in the may 2008 road and track magazine, there is an ad for ;pulse plugs'. they are supposedly better than spark plugs, and get a 10 hp gain.
they work by burning 10x more efficently and better than normal spark plug.
the website is pulstarplug.com
have yall heard of pulse plugs before?
do you think this is bs?

I've seen these, and am interested, but not at the price their asking. Sparkplugs.com has them for my Cobra.... for $24.95 *EACH*.

After a bit of Google, it seems it's roughly a 5 HP gain at, DEFINITELY not worth the money.

All cars are different. I did see some gain more, but none were tested on a Mustang.

Why would it have a plug for each valve? lol.

Just one per cylinder.

There are cars with 2 plugs per cylinder, but those are few and far between.

Cheapest way for hp? 8x$24.95 = $199.60, plus tax and shipping.

I'm sorry, but $200 is rediculous for spark plugs.

20$ per horsepower is good i think.

a 5000$ turbo could get you (im just guessing) but maybe 100-200hp
thats 50 to 25 $ per each hp...

draw your own conclusions...

SOME 2.3L mustang and range had 2 plugs per cylinder, not all. My old 2.3L was a single plug head. The Nissan Z24/Z24i motor is twin plug, Rotaries are usually twin plug, I want to say some Porches are, and... um... Cessna motors are twin plug.

That's still not a lot of motors in the grand scheme of things.

Wasn't the whole purpose behind that to burn extra gases for better emissions?

Yep. In all cases but the Cessna, where it's for redundancy/reliability.

And V606- turbo may cost $5k, but you're going to get 80% of the engine's existing N/A power for every ~12-14 lbs of boost you cram through it. And, you only have to buy the turbo once. These pulstar plugs have to be replaced as often as normal spark plugs.

yes. burn more of the gas, so you dont waste as much, which means more efficiency, and more power
