Irs ? Gear Swap


Hey hows it goin, planning to help a guy with his 99 cobra gonna throw some 4.10s in it, just wondering on how difficult it is,,iam a 5.0 guy and i can do them with ease never attempted irs...is it easier harder ? just want to know what to look for thanks

Not really much difference. The only real difference is pulling the axles out the side of the dif housing...

Its good for handling... Its great for road courses... For drag racing the CV's can be the weak point

Constant Velocity joints... like Universal joints on a drive shaft... since the axle shafts aren't fixed the have to be able to flex up and down.... Think of it like the half shafts on a front wheel drive car except the don't turn for steering purposes... just up and down for independant suspension travel...
