I don't know how well that would work. With the dash swapped over the entire wiring harness off the 2000 went in the 93 pretty easily. We had to splice some ends on for headlights and taillights, but that was no big problem. Other than that there wasn't any major problems.

What do fox guages have to do with anything? He has the 4.6 motor and tranny in there and the 4.6 guages, and the 4.6 computer... He doesnt need anything fox for the interior...

That interior swap is what caught my eye. Looked so good I didnt even notice it at first when I checked out your pics.
That old interior/gauges was always one setback for me to rock the fox body.... I didnt even know this was possible. Curious how much it weighs after the swap? |

Very nice!
Now questions. I have seen this interior swap done a few times now. Even into a Ford ranger ! But I noticed nobody asked. What did you do about the interior door handles. I know they arent accessible with that fat dash. I havent read the write up yet so maybe i find the answer there. BTW I love it. I been wanting this swap for years now.

Actually we managed to make the stock door handles off the 93 work. We just had to grind them off. They are kindly awkward, but they work. You can fit 2 fingers in to open them, and they rub the dash a tad. I need to grind them off some more. What would have been the best and nicest thing to do would have been to relocate them, back about 3 inches. It would be relatively easy to do, but you would have to buy new door panels and custom make them. |
