I got the exhaust done this week. Sounds awesome. Straight out from the manifold back with a set of Flowmaster 40 series on it. I love it.

She will scoot. It has 3.23 gears in it, so it has a lot of top end. I would like to put a set of 3.83 or 4.10s in it. I believe it would snap your neck then. Of course about anything would feel powerful right now because I am driving a 4 cyl nissan truck.

Any idea to your curb weight?

I tell you man going lightweight makes for a hell of a fun street car. My cobra is easily under 3000lbs and even the stock 305hp and 7K redline make a 12 second car.

I'm still worrying more about the weight than touching the drivetrain at all. I think with new hood, fenders, trunk, rims, battery, custom dash, kmember, drivetrain, seats, and exhaust I could hit 2500-2600lbs.

I'm totally obsessed with removing weight.... then I could do little to the motor, keep my reliability and hit 10s-11s no problem....

Then once its a light as she will get.... Single Turbo time.

this is one of the coolest swaps ive seen, i like the way the wheels look, and the notch is my fav too. Man, if ur only 16 and did this you're very mechanically inclined, madd props man. Does anyone know how much lighter a fox is than an sn95?

I have my airbags painted and in now. I will try to get some pics up. Also, I think I have found a set of 3.73 gears for it.

Just thought I would give ya'll an update on my project

It is currently sering as my partial daily driver(to school and ball games and such) and is awesome. It rides great and handles like a dream. It still has some kinks to get worked out but nothing so major that I ca't drive it.

here is my current to do list
1) I think the rear spring on one side is weaker and needs to be changed(it sets to one side)
2)Change radiator hose(pinhole in it. we shortened it for a temporary fix.)
3.Finish exterior trim and get put o
4.Finish interior doorhandles
5.Get rear seats a different color
6.Get trunk lock
7. Twin Turbo Kit
8. Paint and finish installing interior door arm rests and switches
9.Interior lighting
10.Sub frame connectors

There are many more but thats the ones that have been bugging me. As soon as I get time I am going to work on it. Right now is the last semester of my senior year, and applying to college and everything is kindly hectic and I ain't had time to work on her. Feel free to ask any questions.

I know this is an old post but I'm looking for some help. Since Fox4.6 did the same swap I'm about to attempt I was hoping to get some assistance.

I'm using a 92 coupe with a 2002 GT as my donor. It's an automatic also and I was wondering if you had to move the transmission cross member? Any pointers or things to look out for? I'm hoping to use the abs, traction control, power steering and a/c. I really don't know if I'm going to use the air bags or not though. Did you retain all of these functions? Thanks for any help you can give me it's greatly appreciated.

Not likely though not impossible. (I have a 347 stroked Ranger) The 4.6 is just too wide. Would interfere with the steering linkage and the heater/ blower housing. You would have to retriangulate the steering, eliminate the heater and probably cut the frame rails to allow the headers room.
