Nice! Question, is it impossible to swap the door panels? If I recall, you are using the Fox panels?

That looks awesome. I bought my 2001 gt donor car 2 days ago. it is a 5 speed car and im putting dash, motor, tranny in my 92 coupe. this forum gives me plenty of motivation. im planning on taking the motor to a shop soon to get cams and a few more mods before installing into my coupe. The more posts and pics on this forum the better. thanks

wanting to put a 4.6 in my fox

hey man i'm 17 and still in high school and i also live in tennessee i live in a tiny town call lawrenceburg and i've been thinking about putting a 4.6 in my 87 coupe execpt i'm wanting a 4.6 4v out of a cobra or navigator and a 5 speed in my car then sometime in the future i'm going to put a either a prochger D1 on it or a twin turbo setup how much exhaust clearance do u have is it a tight fit? or is there plenty of room i don't know much about the 4.6 i've just started looking into them do u know how much a stock 4.6 4v modular motor internals can handle i've heard that they came with forged pistons i know the blocks can handle 1000+hp thats why i'm getting rid of my 5.0 no stock 5.0 block can handle 1000+hp hek they can barely hold up to 500hp i've personaly seen them split at just a little over 500 with a main girdle and valley girdle thats why i'm going to a 4.6 but they are extermly expensive to build

I'm using a 92 coupe with a 2002 GT as my donor. It's an automatic also and I was wondering if you had to move the transmission cross member? Any pointers or things to look out for? I'm hoping to use the abs, traction control, power steering and a/c. I really don't know if I'm going to use the air bags or not though. Did you retain all of these functions? Thanks for any help you can give me it's greatly appreciated.
The way I did mine was to cut out the trans mounts off the 2000, bolt them ontot the transmission, jack it up and into place, and weld the mounts in. Not as bad as it sounds because it fits fretty good. Yes, every function works except the air bags because I didn't hook them up.

Hello everyone. Sorry I have been so long replying to everything but I entered college this fall and moved to Cookeville, Tennessee, so I haven't had much time to post. In the next few days I will try to get everyone replied to and get an update on here. To everyone thinking about doing a swap like this, Best Of Luck!! It will be hard work. I can't say whether or not it is worth it because everyone looks at things differently, but It Was Definetly Worth It To Me!nIf anyone needs help I will do my best to help people out. My best advice is to go slow and do it right. Good luck to all and God Bless.

I am also doing a 4.6 swap and I ALSO am swapping it out of a panther 1999 Ford Police Interceptor, But I think the one I'm helping build is going to be a manual trans.

Btw FIX YOUR PICS! I see NOTHING!

Pix or it didn't happen.

Hello everyone, sorry it has been so long since I have been online. I am currently a junior at tennessee tech university majoring in ag engineering. I have come a long ways on this project since I started, which was 4 years ago nearly and I can hardly believe it was that long. The car is up and running and everything works and I drove it nearly every day over the summer. Since the photos I posted I have added a wing off a 93 convertible, which sets it off nicely. Now for what everyone wants to know, it ill get up and go pretty good. It is geared extremely high(stock for a 2000), so the low end is not that good, but still enough to leave pos marks for about 100 feet(I stepped them off). This car does better from 60-120 than from 0-60. I am wanting to put a set of 3.83 rear gears in it, which I believe will make it a real neck snapper. Thanks for everyone's positive feedbacks, I'll try to update more in the next few days, and if you have any questions feel free to ask.

Nice swap man don't see it everyday, I'd change out the wheels for some reason they don't look right must be the offset.
