2000 Dash in Fox body

The dash seems to interest everyone the most in my car, so i will give a good description of it and what it took to fit it in. We started by taking the old dash and making a pattern out of it on a piece of cardboard. Then we traced it onto the new dash and started cutting(We used a die grinder with a 3" inc grinding wheel on it). We had a routine going. Cut, put in for a mock fit, mark what needed to be cut, and take it back out. We did this at least 5-10 times. We finally got it to fit decent. We cut as much as possible off of it without cutting into the main structure. We cut about 4 inches off of it. Even with all this it still fit and looked good. We have 5 bolts holding it in. We have 2 in each side and made a bracket and got one right behind the instrument panel. It is very solid. The only problems were e VIN tag and the defroster cover sticks up a little on one side. Yes, the defroster still works. Also, the door handles off the 93 had to have about 1" cut off them. You can only reach the door handles with 2 fingers, but they work. Overall it was the most aggravating part of the build, but it looks great in it, and sets up really well. I will say this to anyone that is interested in doing it, "Go for it, but get ready for some work." I would guess that is has about 8 hours worth of work by 2 people in it. If you have any questions feel free to ask. I would be glad to help whatever I can.2000 Dash in Fox body-mustangdoneresized.jpg

I've seen this done before... The Guy had made custom door panels and all to match...

It had a 4v mod motor under the hood as well...

ok question
did you have to modify the steering column?
seems that the sn95 column would be longer since the dash you say had 4 inches cut off it. I assume the column should belonger to match the fatter dash? What was done here if anything.

We did not have to modify the column. The only thing we had to do was cut the bearing that supports the steering shaft out of the 2000 model car and mount it on the 93 car.
