Stroke 5.0
so the gt has 260 hp right? how much would it make if i stroked it or whatever to a 5.0. Also does that mean forged internals? or is it just a block. I'm not to engine smart lol.
Also same question with a mach 1 |

there is A LOT of mathamatical equations to figure out how to get a 4.6l to a 5.0l......but a liter in a motor is the displacement of each cylinder.....but if you want to make a 4.6 to a 5.0 you could bore your cylinders .030 over and put a stroker kit in it that might give you a bigger displacement than you want if you want it to be bigger...but if you want to get it on the spot you got to go through a lot of mathamatical equations

ok.....http://www.moranav6racing.com/catego...?CategoryID=16 makes a 4.4 stroker kit for the 3.8.....ok so now you need only .6 more liters...how would you do that bore your cylinders :wink

well there are a couple differetn ways to go about getting the 4.6 to a 5.0 you can do it with a stock bore of 3.552" or .020 bore which is 3.572, a forged cobra crankshaft, that uses a 3.75 inch stroke. youll need to get the propper rods which are usualy a 4340 h beam rod and the right pistons. the pistons are different becuse the bottom ringland will intersect the wrist pin and it will pull the piston a little bit further out of the block. there is not a problem with doing this. some people will say that its bad but that isnt the case.

well i have a stroker modular with stage 2 heads and cams, and low compression so without boost its not gonna be a lot. but it made over 300 rwho and if it was optimised for n/a i bet it could have made upwards of 350 rwhp all while being n/a
