o/r x pipe confusion

my 01' stang needs some help reaching its noise level potential. here is my current setup, stock everything except for weld in flows, unsure of series were on car when bought it. Now for my question. during many many searches I have found that there seem to be quality and fitment issues with many o/r x pipes . please help with your knowledge and experiences.looking for mid level brand with easy install, good quality and fittment. i know that all of those qualities are probably not going to be found on the same pipe, but that is why I need your help to narrow done the hundreds of choices.

check out the exhaust set up sticky. the members list the pros and cons of there set ups.
I personally like the Mac x pipe. I have an O/R prochamber on my fox and I like that as well.

the mac and the prochamber both had no issues with fitmint.

stay away from BBKs off road x especially if the car is lowered, for whatever reason they are bent funny and they hang very low, after a few good bottom-outs the flanges will rip right off. i have experiance with this haha.

thanks jerseymike. i do have eibach lowering springs, had'nt thought about the clearence issue. is ther such a thing as good and cheap when it comes to these x's.pypes seems to be fairly reasonable and they are 409SS. others of similar price are aluminized, most more expensive

I have the BBK o/r x and I have the Eibach Pro-Kit. No fitment issues whatsoever and no problems bottoming out. Its been on for 4 or 5 years now and still looks/fits perfect. I got mine from Mustangs Unlimited for under $200

I had Bassani o/r x on my 03 gt I had and never had any problems. When I put longtubes on it I went with Mac o/r h and never had any issues with it either. I'm currently running Magnaflow catted x on my Cobra and so far so good.

pypes and bbk were two of the x's i was looking at . glad to know people with similar setups report no to little problems. is there really much difference from the $169 pypes x to the bassani x for hundreds more. also since mil eliminators are being cracked down on, do the new handheld tuners still give you the option to turn off the rear o2 sensors.

Yes there is a difference. Thats why the Magnaflow Tru-x is so high. Its stainless stell and out flows the BBK and Pypes. I use the Prochamber and I love it. As for you other question, yes the tuners can turn off the rear 02's

I have slp long tubes, o/r x, and lm1's, the lt's hang bout 1/4" lower than the pipes, but the o/r x doesn't hang, its pretty much even with my sub connectors, before i got the long tubes though, the driver side flange didn't fit right, was 1/8" too small or some shiz, there should be some bolts slp sends you with the package to replace oem ex manifold bolts.
