hes right, if youve got money then it is defenitly possible but you would have to change out alot of things on your car to accomodate for the weight of the motor as well as all the wiring for the ecu, but hey if you can do it i say go for it and good luck and let us see

If you could do it, it'd be sweet. I doubt you have the money. No Offense.

motor isnt that much heavier than a 4.6 sohc, b/c the v10 is just that, the 4.6 with two more cylinders.

It actually weighs alot more than you think. Its a 5.4 with 2 extra cylinders. Add that much more iron block, heads, and intake and its alot on that front suspension.

As provided by Sullivan Performance:

Engine Weights and Dimensions

Engine Weight
4.6L SOHC 500 lbs.
5.4L SOHC 525 lbs
4.6L DOHC Aluminum Block 425 lbs
5.4L DOHC 540 lbs
6.8L SOHC V-10 640 lbs.

It can be done. I think it would be great, but there is no way it would steer around turns. It would look like a fat lady trying to dance.

Yes it can be done but a good 5 liter car would run circles around it. There is really no aftermarket for the Ford V10.

You are on crack. Just because one is a V8 and the other is a V10 doesn't mean that the V10 "just has two more cylinders". Nothing could be further from the truth. That V10 weighs alot more than the 4.6.

Hate to catch this late in the topic but the V10s in mustangs rolling around are absolutely nothing like the v10 Ford is working on from that article shown. For one its not a cast iron block like some one said from an earlier post and it doesnt weigh a shit load more either. Its all aluminum and that article is a little old because they made a 427 version with billet crank and H-beam rods. It now makes over 600hp. Here is the intoduction of the 427 version ... http://www.fast-autos.net/vehicles/F...3/427_Concept/ .... and here is the improved version with slightly less displacement but higher redline and more hp.. not possitive this is the same block but i am pretty sure... http://www.fast-autos.net/vehicles/F...3/427_Concept/

V10 in a Mustang

SilverState Motorsports in Las Vegas were the first and maybe only shop to do it. It actually fits pretty nice and the one they did looks factory stock! It's been running problem free for years now. Their number is 702-644-8756.
