Horse Power Help

I have a 2001 Roush Stage 2. I am wanting to gain more Horse Power with out changing the motor or running Nitrous. Any ideas or suggestions? I am going to change out the cams and install long tube headers but I want to make sure I have the correct set up for the most HP. Thanks in advance for the input.

What's your goal?

The reason you think you need more power will be helpful in determining what will be the best solution for adding power will be.

Do you want to go faster, quicker, or just have bigger dyno#'s to brag about.
You can probably go faster and or quicker with the power you have.

I just want more power and to be quicker off the line. I dont race it and I am not looking to boast about Dyno numbers. Just thought you guys who know and have been through this would be the best place to go.

Quicker off the line means you need to work on your driving, your suspension, and/or get stickier tires.

The reason we're not telling you to get more power is that more power isn't going to make you faster if you're not making full use of what you have now. Get yourself and your vehicle dialed in first, and then you'll be able to take advantage of any horsepower gains you can get. If you're not dialed in, more power is just more wheelspin.

slap a set of 4.10's in the back end, that will certainly help make it feel faster...

Let me put it into perspective. I am 43 like the car, wife said OK to add some HP. Buddy has a Z06 that walks away from me and I want the power when I need it but I dont want to race. As far as how much? $2000 to 3000.
