Well I wouldnt risk it. I am not a NX expert, but everything is safer after a tune . Better safe then sorry.

i would wait on the tune. I did on mine. Just cause I didn't feel like having to do anymore work to it than I already had.

you dont have to have a tune to run nitrous but if available you should get. a tune is really important if you are setting your car up around a large amount of nitrous and only nitrous as a main source of power. run the nitrous if you want it wont hurt. a car will automatically advance and retard the timing on its own as long as it is on within a 2-3 degree incriment. my 100 shot wont have a 'tune' just the nmu, window switch, and of course cold plugs.

yep i installed it myself. i did the zex wet nitrous kit #82023 .. the only thing it doesnt come with is a bottle pressure gauge and a bottle heater so id recommend picking those two items up.

it wasnt that hard at all i did it in less than a day taking all the time i wanted. the most time consuming part was installing the bottle in the trunk!! lol make sure you dont peirce ur gas tank..

if u want some help pm me and ill walk you through it if u have any trouble with the instructions.

Sweet, I really dont want to pay someone 350 to install it if I could take care of it with a buddy. The only thing is that I wanted to hook up an automatic bottle opener as well to a toggle switch and they were going to throw that in for free....

i don't have an opener but i doubt that's any harder.. there's probably 3 wires that are coming out of it. zip tie them all to the main n2o line you're running from your trunk to your solenoids.. then simply hook up the red to a fused 12v source, the black to any good chasis ground, and the white (or whatever color it is).. bring it into your cab with the arming switch wire..(you can go through the firewall like most people, I actually ran it back under my car and came up along side of the tranny and came up right where the shifter is and my switces are in the little panel to the left of the cigarette lighter) you could also splice it in and make the bottle opener open when you hit the nitrous arming switch that would probably save some time or you can have 2 switches, whichever you want but it wouldbe be hard at all.

Maybe I will just give it a go, doesnt sound that bad at all the way you described it. I def want to go with the automatic opener, I think it would come in handy! Plus, that would save $350. How did your switches turn out, are you going to purge as well?

switches came out great they look badass everyone who sits in the car is like Woah what's that. lol it has the red pilot switch cover that you have to flip up, then flip the switch underneath.. i mounted that to the left of the cig. lighter (took about 10 minutes lol) and i mounted the purge solenoid switch to the left of the arming switch.. when the bottle heater comes in, i'll mount that switch directly over it.. it sounds like a lot but its really very simple, just make sure all of your 12v connections are fused!
