First post, need assistance

Hey, this is actually my first post my friend made this name for me and stated in some forum what his luck with gearing was. But I want some expert advice on gearing, i searched 20 pages and i did not find the information i was looking for ( maybe i am too inexperienced with searching) But i was wondering if you could anwer a few questions for me.

My dad just bought a 2007 gt california special. He wants gears. he always liked 3.73's, but thats the only thing he has tried. He thinks that it will Scream top speed and he thinks he will start loosing too much. What are your opinions on gearing?
What is the stock top speed?
3.73 top speed?
4.10 top speed? is it screaming? thank you!!

not tryin to sound like a dick so hopefully you dont take it that way but if youre gonna tell someone what rpms with gears and such and u dont have ur mods in your garage then you should mention that. cause at 150 with a stock tranny that thing would be screamin.

i was referring to hmusn's answer to your question. but anyway 4.10s should maybe knock a half second off your 1/4 mile time. not sure about 0-60. my 3.73s gave me a few tenths of a second in the 1/4

o ok thanks. I am hopin to be able to shave a good .2-.3 seconds off my 0-60... my main goal is to get cold air intake and flowmaster, maybe an x-pipe depending on what you guys think i should do, and i want a 0-60 in 4.4 seconds.. thanks
