^ I wouldn't get the LM1's regardless of what midpipe I have. I really am not a fan at all. I don't really like raspy either. Low muscle growl ftw!

i say both are great, all depends on the person and i myself have a o/r x pipe with flow super 40's and i love the sound and yes i even have a v6 right now which it doesnt even sound half bad. i love loud and raspy but love the low deep growl, the x pipe will give you both and h will give both, just all depends on the muffler and pipe sizing, but its all a personal preference thing.

Some people will disagree but yes, H's tend to have more of a lower, muscular growl while X's tend to have a higher, raspier sound to them.

I thought all V8 Mustangs since, oh, around '86 or so came with an h-pipe from the factory?

I have an off road h into flows into tails and I have yet to hear a set up sound better on a 5.0 but stick long tubes into x into some good mufflers on a 4.6 I think that sounds like pure sex.

So I agree....yet I'm wanting to try Bassani Streets (chambered) with my all-Bassani exhaust. I think they might be an exception to the rule above.

X vs H
I like what I have, but I must admit my favorite is bassani. The cats would go if I could get it inspected. But then I like it loud, the louder the better, just like my Harley. Hopefully, it will sound a lot louder when I get the cams....I don't care about raspy, drone, trumpeting, listening to the radio or anything else. Just give me loud, but that's just me lol
