OMG i'm stuck in reverse!

today i had to back out of this long ass driveway and now it's stuck in reverse, i got it out eventually but i had to put it in reverse again to get out of driveway and its stuck again and this time i cant get it out, is there anything i can do right now to fix it? my clutch disengages and engages fine but my shifter is stuck?

Are you on the stock clutch quadrant?

okay, okay im done

okay seriously though... check and make sure your linkage isn't binding underneath... if its not... start hitting things with a hammer

Back up just a few inches slowly and gently, then you should be able to get it out of reverse. That has happened to me before, and I figured out just move the gears around slightly by gently backing up and that loosens up whatever is getting stuck.

im joking but try to put it further in gear like pull back on it then push it i mean its a thought but try slightly backing up then putting it in gear
also you could have a bad syncro

Sounds like you sheared a pin in the tranny. If you can't get it out at all even with force then it's probably gonna have to be pulled and fixed.

i got it out with a lot of force and now i no longer go in reverse for long periods of time
