PI=Performance Inproved The 99-2004 GTs came with them and it includes different heads, intake and cam. The gains of PI vs non PI is about 50HP.

instead of upgrading to PI wouldnt it just be better to get aftermarket heads cams and intake? that would mean even better gains right?

To tell you the truth i dont know. but from what i have heard, is that if you polish and port ur non PI heads you out flow the PI so my guess is that if you take a nice aftermarket set with an intake and a cam you will get more power than if you just put on the PI heads intake and cam.
