How would I recalibrate the speedometer for after market gears?

Do you have a cai/tune on your car? Reason, I ask is because I had a custom tune that was set for gears that I'm going to get in the future and the speedometer was reading 15mph slower than it should have been. I just went into the tune/tuner, went to the parameters and changed the gear ratio to the ones I'm using...problem solved. Idk if that helps at all.

i just posted a topic in the 98 forum and ixmotoxi, our cars have a mechanical speed sensor so a tune isnt an option

Speedometer Recalibration Gears - '79-'98 Ford Mustang

can you use something like that? seems like it would work best
