Drag Radials: Nitto or BFG?

OK I have narrowed my choice to either NITTO's or the new BFG drag radials. I have 17" wheels also. Looking for 315/35's. Any experience with these especially the BFG's since they are fairly new. I have heard they stick really well but will my 17" wheels not leave enough sidewall for the tires to give enough? Thanks, mark

BFG's will stick better but the Nitto's will last 3x longer.

MT's not recommended for street use, especially extended high speeds like interstate driving. I agree they are said to be the best. I'm adding a 10" converter and some ind of tire to help the car get some decent 60' times as that is where the good et's are coming from with mods like I have. thanks, mark

i got M/T DR's and i drove to the track,made 4 passes,and left'em on my car for 4 days to and from work with no problem.

BFG or Mickey Thompson. Nittos suck. If you buy a drag radial and want it to last long you shouldn't be buying them in the first place. Buy a street radial if you want life out of the tires. Buy a good drag radial if you want to hook.

No drag tires are recommended for street use. That is a legal disclaimer to try to avoid lawsuits from idiots.

+1 id get nittos if you're going to be more street driving than drag racing simply becasue they last a lot longer. if you got the bfgs or m/ts only look to get about 1000-1500 miles out of them if you're driving on them every day!

i got a set of m/ts and 2 new matching wheels that i only use for saturday nights

Me and my buddies have put thousands of hwy miles on our MTs.

I'k talking about leaving them on for 7 months. For that matter the WELD ProStars are not recommended for street use according to Jegs. They look good though.

The BFG's are said to be FULLY STREETABLE in the JEGS catalog and the NITTO's are said to be streetable on the tirerack. mark

This would sway me towards the NITTO's as I would like to get near 7K miles from them. having them heat cycled should get them that far, might not even need that as many have said 7K was easy to reach.

7k will not be a problem on nittos as long as u dont burnout at every redlight/stopsign

i guess it's how i drive my car. there's no way m/ts would last more than a couple thousand on my car. lol
