Shocks
What would be the best shocks for a 1996 GT that has been lowered 1.5-2 inches. Do i have to get special shocks because the car has been lowered. Any advice will be apreciated.

I used the Tokico's on my 96 Cobra and my SHO. I was very happy with them in both applications. I see no reason to spend the extra $$$ in Koni's or something like that.

Is there anything wrong with going with a stock replacement? I dont have much cash at all and i believe that if you dont go with a top of the line set of shocks and struts then it is money wasted. The car will occasionaly see the track (4 times a month during the summer) but will mainly be my daily driver. Thanks

If you use a stock replacement you may end up with a bouncy ride. Stock shocks are not valved for lowered cars. You can do it, many people do. I did for about a year, then switched. You can pick up Tokicos for around $400 for all 4. My Bro owns a Speed Shop in MD, give him a call. He can ship anywhere. His name is Mike 301.279.0070, best to get him around 5:30-6 pm EST.
