12s?

with these mods: 4.10s jlt intake(or any intake that require tune) throttle body o/r mid pipe and axleback...is anyboy running 12s on streets with this setup...if so what do u launch at and how do u keep your 60' down?
The best i can get is a 13.2@107 with a r/t time around .018 and a 2.0 60'

Which JLT intake (CAI or RAI), what throttle body, what mid pipe (H or X), and what axle-back? Throttle body shouldn't be larger than 70mm. Do the full exhaust while you're at it (get L/T headers and matching shorty mid pipe). Change the axle-back to a catback. That's the best performance setup I would say going off what your original plans were / current mods are. 13.2 seems pretty quick, but believable, so I'd say not driver problems. Some UDP's would be a good idea (+1 to who recommended that one). I'm not sure what horsepower rating it takes in the S197's to break that 13s barrier.

For comparison:
Stock GT (300 BHP) --> 13.9
Shelby GT (319 BHP) --> 13.6
tarpeeler's GT (330 - 350 BHP est.) --> 13.2
Shelbt GT500 (500 BHP) --> 12.8

Good luck!

well actually im not sure where the 13.9 came from but people have had stock 3vs in 13.5 often.

look at physco bob he hits some 12.8s with gears, cai and so forth on street tires i think.

And get rid of the 3 inch exhuast its probably costing you power. With long tubes catted x pipe and and kooks race cat back i picked up like 15. With o./r two more horsepower. Dont spend a lot of time beatin your head on exhuast mods with this car. There is a lot to be gained there.

Yeah my bad, I meant 13.6 (as tested / reviewed by Motor Trend and C&D).

Your trap is good for 12's. You need stickier tires!

There is no RAI for the S197s.

The S197 has a double blade TB, not a single like the new edges.

A catback on an S197 is not worth the extra cash.

S197s have been in the 12s with just a CAI + tune and UDPs.

to tell you the truth the suspension mods will get you into the 12's healthier than the power adders. truthfully i cant get better than a 12.69 on my procharged gt due to the fact i need suspension mods and a better clutch, i could get better runs on my setup but i dont wanna bust my clutch.
