new guy
hey everyone just joined the forums a few minutes ago and i have a few questions and need your opinions.
i drive a 1996 Convertible Mustang GT and so far the only thing i have done to it is the Flowmaster 40's series Exhaust with i think 2.5" pipes all the way under neath and 3" or a bit bigger chrome tail pipes. I'm not sure what to do next to it, so any opinions? i was thinking subframe connectors since i have a convertible and maybe new shocks n possibly springs. and an intake? sorry but im new to the whole american muscle and i'm use to imports. but i don't know what brand/kind would best fit me. any suggestions on what should i do to it? also why doesn't saleen sell superchargers for the '96 models but they have them for the '99+ ? and is it possible to get an s281 engine swap? i know some of these questions might be dumb, but please dont bare with me since i am NEW to this. thanks also is anyone in the Southern California? anyone into Drifting? just wondering Thank you for your time

gears, and tuner are the most prevelant first mods among our car. it'll wake your car up the most especially if it's an auto. 13MP/G does not sound right at all.. unless you have your foot in it a lot lol then that sounds about right. you should be up around 18-19..
i'd also recommend an aftermarket midpipe (x / h) to really set the sound off and if you want some power get some longtube headers as well. that will also increase gas mileage if you keep your foot outta it. what kind of gas do you use and how many miles are on it? you might just need a good tune. not sure on the s281 engine swap with your model but anythings possible. welcome to mm btw |

well for gears like he said 4.10 Ford racing makes some good ones they run for about 200 dollars. I would recommend having someone install them for you that should run about another 300. For a tuner I would wait until the SCT Livewire come out in january that should run you about 550 bucks. All of this can be purchased at you local shop or onling a good site is americanmuscle.com welcome to the forum Im a fellow newb too
