LED Pony Lights

i have always said fucking ricers putting neons and shit on their car. it looks stupid. after xmas parade when i had all those fucking lights on my car i had white xmas lights lighting up the pony. and i was at autozone today getting some maguiars leather conditioner, i saw these white LED lights and i said fuck it i have to try this out. so i bought 1 went to wally world got a switch and some wiring. and put the shit on. i think the outcome was better then i expected. stands out when headlights are off, looks discret when lights are on. and on top of it it lights up my engine bay when the hood is up. i am very pleased with it!

its hard to show this. it looks better then the camera quality shows it..

not much room in the garage. camera doesn't like the low lighting. and flash just doesn't show it at all lol. too lazy to pull it outside at this hour

I like it. I think it would look better if the lighting was more subtle, but you are on the right track

I put a switch in the middle console compartment, i couldnt really think of anything better. hooking it up to a different switch i couldnt see a solution. did not take long to wire it. prolly 30-40min.

AutoZone Part # is CZ-181R (Red) CZ-181W (White) ( what i got ) and CZ-181B (Blue)

i chose white cause just in case a cop would get pissy cause of red or blue

I think blue or red would look rice..

Ok red might look ok as your car is in the same color spectrum

yeah i was thinking that too but i am chickening out....

i am gonna get red for the interior at the driver side and passenger feet.

still have it ? im curious how diff colors would look there.. i dont like the darkness of my interior during night.

me either i took red out an did blu and no glarre at all the red with dark window tints a fucking joke... i hated it lookd good but too glarish.. an red is first color u see. blue doesnt glare or stand out

LEDs are addicting so be carefull or you'll end up ricey real quick. The way you have it set up now is awesome. I like it alot! Very good.

How do you have them wired? I put mine on a 9v and added a toggle on the dash just because I didnt want it to be hooked into my car battery.

I put some in my scoop. I've had red, green and blue in. I have the white (which still looks blue to me) in now. In FL, blue or red is illegal coming off the front...and they have to be stationary as well (cant blink or rotate). We get really thick fog here and that when it gets fun. I have the LED's in my scoop pointing forward and it creates beams of light coming off the front of my car. I know, childish...but fuck it, its fun.

Ghost in the garage..I can never get a good picture of them. They always look blurry.

Its funny though, when I have them on, cars get out of my way. I dont know if they thing Im an emergency vehicle or it just confuses them. I dont turn them on much on the road because of that.

i have had a red and a blue center light in the ceiling and neither have given off a bad glare, but the red was much harsher on the eyes as stated.

I have been wanting to do something like this for a long time. I think I will wait till I get my next stang to do this though

it wouldnt be hard to hook those up to your headlight switch either.

It looks nice with the grill delete. But adding red to the footwells would move from a nice classy look to rice. I don't see how you can get more ricey than colored LED in the footwells.
