Recording soft/hardware

hey guys i've been trying to find information about this, but i haven't found a whole lot.

Anyways, i love editing and putting together videos, and i want to be able to record video from my television (xbox 360 games to be more specific) and then send them to my computer.

What do i need for this? Does anyone have a set up for this already, and if you do, whats it called and how much was it?

PS- My tv is in a completely different room as my computer.. so could i do this with a really long cord? (i have a cat5 that runs from my xbox to my router, by my computer)

EDIT: also no i don't want to do some cheap ass recording with my camera lol.
