NinjaWafers Stang!!
Ok. This car still has major work to go on it. It is spray painted black for the time being to make the color uniform while im finishing the body work on it. The rotors were painted red also. I am fiberglassing the hood to make it look like the 99-04 hood with scoop (there will he a how-to once its complete). I also deleted the rear seat myself and put my 12's back there as you will see in the pics. Well this is the introduction. The next three posts will be the pics.
Please no replies until all the pics are posted... And no engine pics until the M90 is done!

do you have any sketches of what the hood is going to look like it or are you just going by feel.
also do you know if you are going to have any clearance issues with the m90 |

there shouldnt be any clearance issues. many have done the swap and still use the stock hood. no scetches either. im going off my brain with it lol. it will resemble the 99-04 hood, it wont be an exact match of course since the measurements arent the same, but it will be close. if there are any clearance issues i can just cut a hole in the hood under the scoop, which is one thing im thinking of doing anyways so there wont be as much heat in the engine bay

the hood needs to be more flowing in my opinion... and more round, you have a very very round car and to have a square scoop looks... out of place

yes its the same kit kerry... cept mine doesnt have the fogs and it is fiberglass
i noticed how square the hood id and ill make it more rounded once i get the thinkness of fiberglass right.. ill sand down the edges into softer curves so it will flow more with the body... the body kit also has a somewhat squared appearance on the sideskirts and im working on that as well, so that they will flow really good with the new hood |

wow you are lucky with that fiberglass kit. mine practically came to me in pieces. the hood was dropped on the nose and crushed, none of the bumpers fit and the side skirts were about 1/2 in too short. i had to cut them in the middle and splice in a fabricated piece to make them long enough.
and also my front and rear bumpers have a definate "ledge" to them where as yours has more of a rounded look to the top. whats the name of the kit? how hard would it be to just adapt a 99-04 hood to your car? |
