Cool

Another echoooooooo....

Jees, guys! I take off for a while and it grinds to a great galloping STOP again!

Who'd doing what?
This is what I've been up to since last time I logged in...

Yes, the Blue is a bit bright, but it grew on me rather quickly.

I pulled the 68 4bbl intake off it when I had a nice clean Offy Dial-A-Flow highrise (WITH the port insert) handed to me , so I grabbed several carb spacers and finally talked a fellow II owner out of his old Hillborn style snorkle.

Replaced the 78 header panel and hood with the 74 parts. The deeper grille inset REALLY sets off the King airdam, and its kinda poetic to put the 74-only (first year) parts on a 78-only (last year) car. There were a few needed mods to make it work, but nothing serious...

Ditched the power steering pump. I still need to swap the manual rack into it, so the steering is "a bit" stiff. The hoses are taped to the T-top brace until I swap the rack (since they are undamaged original hoses...), and I'm running 15x7's with 225/50R15's and a 14" Grant steering wheel...

Ditched the stock fan for a 16" Flex-a-lite electric. I just run it on a toggle switch since I trust the aftermarket temp gauge I plumbed in. Yes, its fused and relayed.

Deleted the Targa band.

Replaced the front bumper, since the old one was a bit rough and I hated both the tape-style inserts and the bumper guards. Still gotta put the chrome inserts in, after I get 'em all Blue and shiny of course. Then I'll do the same for the rear bumper. After that I'll pull them both back off and trim the skins so I can tuck them closer to the body. I never do anything just once...

I got ALL of the exterior lights on the car working properly!!! Except for the deleted backup lights, of course. A member over at mustangii.net made a new rear lighting harness using the 90's Taurus/F-series 3156 & 3157 bulbs and sockets, and swapped in the same for the front signal lights. If you have any lighting issues, DO THIS MOD!!!

And because I've always got plenty of irons in the fire and limited motivation to rip the car apart yet AGAIN, I still have plans to get rid of the C4 and swap in the RAD4 (with its NEW flywheel, pressure plate, and clutch disc), modify the 95 GT stainless exhaust to replace the excessively restricted single setup, swap in the 4.10 Trak/Lok, swap to the manual steering rack, put in the flip-out quarter windows, and maybe tackle the interior lighting. I've already tested the replacement stock clock.

Actually, it just looks way too bright at times. On a sunny day, the sunlight reflecting off the windshield trim throws a blue tinge onto my living room wall, through CLOSED blinds.

I'll probably pull the trim again and see if a few more coats will darken it down a bit.

I need another dash bezel now, too. The insert tore itself up when I was cutting the holes to relocate my extra gauges...
