The mustang II is the best mustang ever made. I am planning to purchase a 2007 or 2008 Mustang and convert the body into a retro Mustang II. I plan on paying Chip Fuse to help with the project named Retro74Stang!

I am now taking advice for colors!

Ford already did the body conversion FOR you. Compare them side by side some time...

That's because most of the haters are talking out of their asses. They just parrot back the same old fallacies they've swallowed without having clue #1 about what they're saying.

The '05 was the first Mustang I've actually liked the lines of since '78

Then you haven't really looked at it. Put the front and rear 6" of a 73-ish fastback on a II and it is DAMNED close to looking like the 05+

The entire header panel and rear quarters of the 67 aren't even remotely similar to the new generation...

I actully think the II is one of the best looking mustangs. They just got a bad rep because of the lack of power which is easly fixed!!

It worked for the 79-82 owners. Their V8 had even LESS power than the II, and in a heavier car....

Cool

So? I could clutter up the II section with new posts about all the "mods" I'm currently doing on my King, but they'd be boring filler (especially since I still haven't figured out the wife's digital camera)

Stuff like drilling my Centerlines to take the stock King Cobra center caps, still tracing down some wiring issues, firing it up every couple of days to run the old gas out of it, etc. just don't make for exiting copy. Once its legal enough to drive and passes smog, I'll probably post about it more, unless someone tells me that the little stuff is exciting for them to read about...

So, tsp-2177, have you looked at your '06 beside a II fastback yet? If you don't like the II, then prepare to sell yours
