This is starting to get fun. Dig in, nba, you'll catch up eventually if you try hard enough.

Mind you, while this horseplay has been unfolding, I've also been working on my King. Discovered the source of the slight tick in the top end. The bloody splashguard under the oil filler cap (what nba probably knows as the "710 cap") had come loose and was bouncing off the rocker arms...

Ouch, you'll scar his ego for life if you keep that up

I figured since his dignity got left at some 24 hour truck stop a while back, and is now masturbation fodder for some lonely trucker....

Wellllll now, I don't check this post for a day and I come back to find a war lol.

Lets start.. A lot of people don't like Mustang It's its an opinion, preferably kept to yourself especially in a Mustang II forum. I used to not like them but the more I look at them the more i like them. The reason they call it mustang's "dark age" is because 302 was the biggest engine Ford put in them, they would still run decently it's just gas was so high a 302 was all people could afford to feed.

He doesn't drive it because he has probably $60k+ invested in it and there are idiot high school drivers such as nba and myself.

Last time he ran it, he ran 11s with drag radials, not even slicks mind you!

Yeah, sorry for the hijack, man. I was a bit bored and wanted the fun of tearing someone a new one. A couple of members decided to oblige me, and it went from there.

To be honest, though, I'm not a huge fan of drag-style cars (of any brand), and the scoop on your dad's doesn't look right to ME, but its still a VERY nice example of what a II can be. I can apreciate it as someone's pride and joy. Even with 20 times the investment in it, I still wouldn't trade it for my King Cobra, but I'd swap it for my wife's POS 81 6-banger coupe without batting an eyelash

And I bet it turns heads WAYYY more than nba's mommy's 65 fastback does

Maybe Mommy told him to give back her keys and go to his room?

At least he's a consistent failure, eh?

Oh, and why would I put him on my ignore list? Its WAY too much fun messing with him. Besides, I think that on all of the forums I frequent, there's only ever been ONE person I've put on an ignore list. Give 'em enough rope and they'll nearly ALWAYS end up hanging themselves with it

Problem with your "joke" is that its tired, old, not overly funny, lacks a punchline, and contributed ZERO to the discussion, regardless of what forum you thought you were posting in.

If you don't like the response your comment brought, try paying attention to what you're posting, and where you're posting it next time...
well technically this post didn't even belong in this section, it belongs in the picture section or the clubhouse.

theres nothing technical about it.

so there

Which STILL doesn't make:
compared to 1 million units sold in the first year
an even remotely accurate statement. Even WITH your "correction"...

You STILL fail, even at failing to fail

Uhm, this is the Mustang II section. He posted pics and info. about a Mustang II, IN the Mustang II section...

And it took you THREE WHOLE PAGES to come up with that?

Come ON! At least make it a bit of a challenge for the Mustang II guy to make fun of your "skillz"

i was out. and it doesn't matter, these forums are for technical help. ie, question, and how to's.

not to post a picture of ur dads car (no offecnce) with what kind of motor. it just doesn't belong in this section. If i were to post a pic of my car in the NPI section and list it's mod's, u bet ur ass it'd get moved.

Don't get me wrong, though. I gotta hand it to Ford that the original Mustang was a HUGE boost, both to the industry AND to car enthusiasts. I simply assert that the Mustang II wasn't nearly as unsuccessful as most "classic" Mustang owners seem to think. Even most of the automotive magazines had very little bad to say about the Mustang II during its production run. Granted, the lack of a V8 option in '74 was a bonehead move (although 74 Mustang II's sold in Mexico DID offer a V8...go figure), but even in SPITE of that, sales were among the highest, compared to ANY other era of Ford's beloved ponycar...
