Hi ,

My wife( American ) and I ( Australian )just added another member to our family.... (we have 7 kids and a Poodle) ....a 2006 V6 Mustang.This is the first Mustang I have ever owned ,my wife had a 68 Mustang in College and pushed me to buy this car, I am glad she did. I am looking forward to reading and posting on this great website.

Love to meet up with local Mustang enthusiasts.

and did u kno that in europe, when the mustang first came out, it was called the T-5.. jus seen it on speed so i thought i wud jack this thread wit that useless bit of trivia

Welcome to MM the site of waay too many post whores (btw they're all named chris, you can't miss 'em, lol) but it's definitely the most informative mustang board on the web. Your wife sounds like a good gal, loving 'stangs and all. Def. a keeper

Hey, Guys....

Thanks for the welcomes! My husband is an Aussie and his dream car was always a 'vette. I was raised in a Ford family in Arkansas. When I first learned to drive, many years ago, my first car was a 68 Mustang that I inherited from my brother. I wish I still had that car. My brother loves to rebuild antique cars, so I have been around cars my whole life!

When we moved back from Australia and I saw the new shape of the Mustang, I started going nuts because it reminded me so much of my horsey car from my youth! When we started looking for a car for my hubby a couple of months ago, I had my fingers crossed I could convince him that a 'Stang was the way to go.......I kept gently suggesting :wink and pushing and after he took a test drive, he was hooked. When I took a test drive, I nearly started crying!!! All I could do was say, "go horsey go!!" (sorry, calling horses "horsey" is family joke kind of thing...) At any rate, it is great to be married to a man who listens to his wife occasionally!!!

I told my hubby that he didn't buy a CAR, he bought a piece of AMERICA and a LIFESTYLE!!! We will be adding to this car so we can really get it where we want it, so it is also a project for the both of us as well.

So, here is my little Aussie mate.....learning to live and enjoy the American dream!!! Nothing like a MUSTANG!!!!!! I swore I would have another one someday, and guess what? That day is HERE!!!! YAY!!!!

I've always wanted to go to Australia, just have the smallest budget ever so until later... my plans of traveling all over the world are on standby.

Again welcome to both of you, I love your car and am thinking of buying a used v6 in a couple years, once prices on 'em drop a tad bit. What're some of those plans/mods you mentioned in store for the car?

Hey every one just found this site. it looks pretty kool. Dont mind the user name I dont have a 73 I have an 05 stang that looks like skippy's. I'ts bone stock other than the K&N and is a v6. this is the 3rd stang Ive owned. my first was a 67 coup with a 289 the second was a POS 79 gia and now I finally have a fastback.
