Hey from central PA

Hi, my name's Ross and I'm a grad student at Bloomsburg University and got my undergrad at PSU in chemistry.

I've got a 1968 Mustang coupe 200 c.i. straight 6 banger. The car is entirely original down to its 39 year old paint job, vinyl top, and AM radio. It has an A title since my Mother bought the car new and has never changed hands. It was my first car when I turned 16. Amazingly its pretty rust free even though my Mom did drive it around for the first several years of its life here in Pennsylvania winters. Currently 122K miles on the vehicle.

I also have a 1994 Jeep Wrangler 4.0L. I went spring over axle to accommodate 35' tires, Ford 8.8 rear with disc brakes, Dana44 front locked, regeared to 4.56, slip yolk eliminator mod to the NP231 transfer case, CV style drive shaft, dropped pitman arm, stock AX15 tranny, rear track bar removed, and a pair of home made front sway bar quick disconnects. (Along with all the little headaches you learn in the process like having to get a flat steering knuckle, new brake lines, new e-brake cable, welding new spring perches and shock mounts, etc etc.)
Future mod: Putting in a 6-speed NV4500 tranny out of an 05 or 06 Wrangler.

Believe it or not but the Jeep is my daily driver. I live with my girlfriend at college and she has a Honda Civic, so if I ever have to go anywhere far I take her car. When I go home in the summers I drive the Mustang around town.... or on long trips take my Mom's 99 Crown Vic.

But back to the Mustang.... I'm torn between leaving it org. or building it up. I know some people would say its worth more in its current condition, but I have no intention of ever selling it. How many other people can say that they still own their first vehicle and it was a 68 Mustang?

Mod it, unless it is really really clean and you want to leave it alone then mod it, rib out the engine throw in a cobra jet or something and put some nice rims and a nice paint job and call it a resto mod, they are becoming the new trend and alot of restomods have become worth more then if the car had just been restored

Here you go. This is a good pic because it was taken the same day I got my acceptance letter from PSU. (If you look closely, you can see I'm wearing a Penn State hat.)

Don't worry, the original rims and hubcaps are down in my basement. C'mon, I was 16 years old and had to dress it up a little.
